PT2092 Multi-Metal wad for 20ga 3" 250/bag)
The PT2092 was designed to maximize the load capacity of 20ga 3" loads while still providing a very slim cushion section. It is on the light end of the spectrum in terms of pellet protection.
The use of Mylar Wraps may be useful for this wad when loading large steel pellet sizes or harder tungsten-based pellets.
Originally designed for 1-ounce steel shot loads, the PT2092 has also been used in loads with many other pellet types. The massive internal capacity of this wad makes it a great field performer with nickel-plated lead, bismuth, ITX, and SpheroTungsten shot.
Curmudgeon's Loading Tips:
TYPE: 1-1/4 oz lead loads, 1 oz steel shot, ITX-10 and 1-3/8 oz. ITX-EX13 loads. Other Multi-Metal loads include bismuth, ITX and other tungsten-type pellets.
The Curmudgeon developed a whopping 1-3/8 oz. #6 lead shot load, mainly for turkeys or heavier field loads with the PT2092. This load is known as the "Nervous Turkey" and can be found in our Load of the Week archive . Gas seal is .620" diameter and .125" in depth.
