This hull is now with the updated basewad design which includes a flap covering of the primer. Extensive testing demonstrates that this feature only has nominal effect on load pressure and velocity. Initial combustion of the propellant completely removes the flap for subsequent reloads. Published load data from reliable sources can be used with these hulls. According to Federal's own shotshell engineers, do not attempt to manually remove the flap from the primer flash hole.
This hull has the .090" internal plastic base wad and a maroon tube. The same great all-purpose hull as used in Federal's magnum 3-1/2" loads. Our lab says that this is one of the toughest and most versatile hulls on the market.
