The BP12 is our original patented 12ga magnum shotcup. It continues to be one of the most versatile and best choices available for many non-toxic and lead shot field loads. Combined with the BPGS gas seal as a 2-part system, the BP12 produces high-velocity loads with exceptionally dense patterning. The friction-reducing ribs and exterior wall reduce resistance as the shotcup travels down the bore, barrel, and choke. A tapered interior as well as side-cushioned walls reduces pellet chaos, thus leading to extended range capabilities and tighter patterns.
Designed and patented by Ballistic Products in the mid-1970s, the BP12 solves the ballistic enigma of integrating the ideal gas seal with friction-reducing shotcup. The materials used to manufacture the shotcup are optimized for the job of carrying long-range shot patterns. BPGS gas seals are stackable; we call these loads we call the Pagoda method, creating stable, super-high velocity shotgun loads. BP12-Tuff note:
The BP12-Tuff was discontinued due to the Multi-Metal capabilities of the BP12. The BP12 is molded our tungsten and steel resistant LL material, which will protect barrels like the former BP12-Tuff. Therefore, the modern BP12 wad may be used in any BP12-Tuff load data.
