The BP1232 Phantom is a dynamic and versatile 12ga 1-1/8 oz target and light field wad. We have load data ranging from 7/8 ounce on up to 1-1/4 ounce. The adjustable honeycomb cushion section is the key to the Phantom's versatility. The advanced cushioning system reduces initial pressure spikes. The Phantom is preslit with four tabbed slits with quick-opening petals. A reinforced deep-set obturator section assures shot-to-shot consistency.

Curmudgeon's Reloading Tips:
TYPE: (taper = 1, straight = 1-1/8 to 1-1/4 oz.) 12 gauge lead target & light game. Ideal for trap, skeet, sporting clays, and game loads in 1-ounce, 1-1/8 & 1-1/4 ounce range in straight-wall hulls and 1-ounce in tapered hulls. We prefer using this wad for longer distance clays shots and light field shots.
Best loading options are with 1 to 1-1/8 ounce lead in straight-wall (Fiocchi, Cheddite, Federal) shotgun hulls and 1-ounce with taper-wall hulls (Win WAA-HS & Rem STS) target hulls and a few selected 1-1/8 ounce loads with compact fast burn-rate powders (e.g., Titewad).
The propellants utilized in straight-wall hulls in 1-1/8 ounce loads are typically fast burn-rate powders and a few intermediate burn rate propellants. Current velocity charts show a range of 1080 FPS to 1290 FPS in 1-1/8 ounce loads.
